Holy Martyrs Catholic Church

Becoming Catholic

“The two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, ‘What are you looking for?’ They said to him, ‘Rabbi’ (which translated means Teacher), ‘where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come, and you will see.’ ”
John 1:37-39

“What are you looking for?” It seems that we are constantly searching. Jesus recognizes that we are looking for answers and invites us to follow him. Whether you are married to a Catholic and raising your children in the Catholic Church or have attended Mass with a friend or loved one and would like to explore this faith tradition more deeply, you are welcome to bring your questions to us. Whether an experience of the liturgy or the rich history and spirituality of the Catholic Church is of interest to you, Jesus invites you to come and see where he is staying.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)  is a communal process of spiritual and educational formation for unbaptized people who seek to become full members of the Catholic Church through a conversion of mind and heart.  In addition, Holy Martyrs offers FOCUS, a special process that is tailored for those who have much exposure to the Christian faith but who would like to become Catholic.

If you would like to know more about how you can become part of the great Catholic faith at Holy Martyrs, just click the buttons to the right. And if you are already in our process but need information, click the “Events” or “Resources” links.  To know and understand which process is appropriate can be determined with conversation with Janet Payton, at jpayton@holymartyrs.net or 330.722.6633.
