“Let the coming generation be told of the Lord that they may proclaim to a people yet to be born the justice God has shown.”
HMKids supports families in providing children in grades 1-8 who do not attend a parochial school with religious education and formation. Our program works with parents to instill Catholic values in every child and prepares children for the reception of sacraments, including Reconciliation and Eucharist. Approximately one thousand children are served at the church. Catechists are provided with classes needed for diocesan certification and all are required to meet VIRTUS standards. Ways to serve in HMKids include being a catechist or catechist assistant, a hall monitor, or assisting with administrative tasks. We also invite teachers to consider using their skills by serving as grade level coordinators to help catechists with lesson planning.
