Easter….Rebirth!!

Were we not an Easter people,

How could we bear the pain?

If our only thoughts were sad ones,

Oh would we live in vain!

Were we not an Easter people,

The sun’s warmth would not mend

A heart that’s nearly broken,

And let it smile again.

The barren days of Winter-

Are bleak and cold and gray-

No happy sounds,

Just memories

To urge us on our way.

Were we not an Easter people,

We would not know the Earth

Is nurturing with tender care,

And soon will have rebirth.

The colors of the rainbow

In every shade and hue

Burst forth in splendid glory,

Ah, life begins anew!

Yes, we, the Easter people

Know this, our Earth’s cocoon,

We’ll shed for “Wings” of Glory

To sail beyond the moon.
